Projects
Home Theater PC
My most recent project is a HTPC, or as I like to call it: Zigvo. I built my first HTPC almost 10 years ago and ran it with myHTPC software (which later became Meedio and then sold-out to Yahoo!). Later, it graduated to Freevo with a short stint using MythTV.
Since then, I have given up on the constant tweaking and toying with the open-source and Linux-based software. I have found that Windows Media Center works very well and is widely supported with a lot of great free plug-ins. It has also greatly improved my WAF.
My newest HTPC runs on AMD-based hardware inside a very sleek Thermaltake DH101 HTPC case. For more on my HTPC project, visit my HTPC Archives.
MooTools Plug-ins
I have fallen in love with JavaScript all over again. And MooTools is to blame. Finally there is a fully featured, elegant JavaScript framework that makes DHTML a real, searchable, scalable, and quick-launch solution. Once my SVN library is re-built, I will open it up for public use. Access my MooTools Archives or my Web Development Archives.
Cooking, Grilling and Recipes
I love cooking and grilling. Occasionally I will be posting up my favorite recipes and techniques. Feel free to comment and share! Click here for more information on Cooking, Grilling and Recipes!
Gardening
I am starting preparations to create a winter indoor greenhouse in my basement. This will be in front of a window, but will use incandescent lighting controlled by timers to make up for the short winter daylight. I will mainly be growing herbs and garlic until late-winter when I will start me vegetables from seed. Click here for my gardening archives!
